HBFF Kids Fest is an important part of our annual film festival recognizing and embracing the importance of our youth and giving
back to our communities. A free one-day event designed to inspire and celebrate our youth, this exciting event will bring together 300 young people and their families from various communities and youth organizations to enjoy a jam-packed day of fun activities, entertainment, and education.

 

This fun-filled day will include a screening, prizes, goody bags, and a reception with a surprise celebrity host(s). From an introduction to
animation to gaming sessions and an immersive VR experience, there’s something for everyone. So, whether they’re doodling their first
character, diving into a virtual world, or cheering on their group in fun challenges, kids will find inspiration at every turn. But to be sure that this is not just a day of entertainment, but a meaningful experience, we will endeavor to support our young people find their passion and to unharness their creativity. As we endeavor to empower the visual voice of children and adolescents, this is more than just a day of fun—it’s a celebration of creativity and potential where we hope the children will leave not only with new skills and experiences but with lasting memories and a boost of confidence.
